The Still Water Mindfulness Practice Center is a network of groups that meet regularly to sit quietly in meditation, talk about our concerns and mindfulness practices in Dharma sharing, and support one another in our lives’ journeys. We began as in-person gatherings in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. The pandemic propelled us into online meetings and enriched the community with regularly participating practitioners from across North America and the world.

The Still Water Working Group, which meets monthly and is responsible for the smooth functioning of Still Water as an organization, invites all who participate in our groups and events to attend a special online All Still Water Community Meeting. This meeting will be an opportunity for the Working Group to hear from members of the community about how they are experiencing Still Water. We would like to explore together what Still Water is doing very well, what it is doing not so well, and possible new areas or directions that Still Water might grow into. We will also briefly review the history of our community, talk about our organic organization and the role of the Working Group, and have ample time for people to ask questions.
