The Still Water Takoma Park group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 - 8:45 am to enjoy sitting meditation, walking meditation, introductions, a mindfulness reading, and Dharma sharing. The group meets at the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Tulip and Maple Avenues in the middle of the historic district of Takoma Park.
Please enter for morning meditation through the double doors on the left side as you face the church from Maple Avenue. (This is the last set of doors on Maple Avenue at the south end of the church. The main doors into the sanctuary will not be open.) Proceed up a few stairs and then about 100 feet down the hallway until you reach the "library," the fourth door on your left. Because of security concerns, the doors are only open at the beginning of meditation from 7:25 to 7:35.
One-hour parking is available on Tulip Avenue. (Although the signs on Maple Avenue say permit parking only, local residents tell us that cars are rarely ticketed.)
Tuesday-Thursday morning weather cancellation policy: The Takoma Park morning gathering is cancelled when Montgomery County Schools have a delayed opening or have closed for the day.
