You are invited to join the Still Water community on Sunday, July 29th, for a exhibit tour and lunch in Washington, DC.
We will meet by the Freer Gallery information desk at 11 am for a special docent-led tour of the Encountering the Buddha exhibit. The exhibit webpage notes:
Encountering the Buddha brings together more than two hundred artworks, spanning two millennia, to explore Asia’s rich Buddhist heritage. They represent diverse schools that arose from the Buddha’s teachings.
We've asked the tour leader to orient our tour to meditation practitioners and relate this exhibit to other significant pieces in the museum's collection.
After the tour, we'll take a leisurely stroll to Penn Quarter, one-half mile away, where we will enjoy lunch together at Teasim (400 8th St NW) beginning around 12:45. (Travel by metro or car is also possible.)
