You are invited to join us for a special Day of Practice with Dharma Teacher Br. Phap Vu in which we will lean to cultivate the boundless field. As Br. Phap Vu explains:

This boundless field is our unlimited human capacity, our boundless potential, a path that so often goes unseen or unacknowledged: it is the field of our hearts and minds, the totality of our human experience of our past, present, and future. We exist in this time and space, at this present moment, which is the intersection of our lives. This present moment consists of all things present as well as all things past. All things experienced and understood in the past are here and now. It is at this intersection of life in which we respond to life and shape our present moment and the world we are a part of.

photo1 (1)Who is Phap Vu? – still working on that one. Nonetheless, I was born in Chicago, Illinois but spent most of my life in Southern California. I began my practice in the Dharma through the Chinese Chan tradition in the mid 90's. In 2003 I was ordained as a buddhist monk in the Plum Village tradition, a Mahayana tradition.

During our day together, in addition to to talks by Br. Chan Phap Vu, we will practice sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating, and Dharma sharing.

We will meet in the Octagon at Blueberry Gardens in Ashton, Maryland. The suggested Dana (donation) is $50-$80. Dana is a gift from the heart that supports the community and the teachings; please feel free to contribute less or more depending on your circumstances.

We hope you can join us! All experience levels, including no meditation experience, are welcome. If you have questions, please email our registrar, Gene Klinger, at 4genek@gmail.com or call 240-731-3732.
